Hi there! I’m here on behalf of #Traditional-Artists to make sure you get all the feedback this piece has received at our last Critique Night!

I hope it is helpful and you can use it for your future works! :aww:

“I don't know the subject, so the critique can't comment on likeness just technique. Your use of darks and lights is very good, however most of the mid-tone range inbetween has been bypassed, your drawing would really benefit from using the full range from white to black, it promotes realism and dimension. The face angle is somewhat off perspective, the eye towards the back of the drawing would be more at an angle as would her nose, this is slightly confusing to look at, but easy to correct. My two final observations is in regards to the hair first of all, again, it lacks depth, erasing a little and building up layers and darks and lights in hair, help to make it convincing, a little more work in this area will help that a lot. Finally the unfinished area at the bottom of the drawing is very distracting, it would be better to crop in an appropriate place to give your drawing a grounding point. Overall, this is well done and you have talent, working on the more technical aspect of your work will improve your skill greatly and move you to the next level.”

“There is a clear resemblance to the Mana-Sama (I googled him); manly and feminine at the same time. I like the eyes a lot and some parts of the hair, but the lips, nose, sleeve and the hairpiece could use a little touch up. Some depth is also missed.”

“The piece is very realistic, and everything is sublimely shaded, especially those eyelashes. As already said, though, the one thing that bugs me is the nose. It’s so faint it's pretty much non-existent, and it clashes with the careful shading everywhere else in the piece. Some shading in the rest of the face would probably make the piece seem even more realistic. All in all, the piece is good, very good- just looks a tad unfinished.”
